Record broken 4 times in 2 months

Records are meant to be broken and the 17 year old 200m hurdle record was broken four times in 2 months! Lily Mather and Tiahna Skelton eclipsed the U13 Girls 200m Hurdle mark of 28.24 set in 2000 by Tahlia Gray.

Lily Mather was the first athlete who broke the long standing record with a time of 27.88 at the LAWA State Championships.

Lily's record still stood even though on the same day at the LANSW State Championships Tiahna Skelton also broke the record with 28.10.

Competing in the U13 Girls 200m Hurdles at the Asics Australian Little Athletics Championships in Sydney Tiahna stopped the clock at 27.94 to again beat the record and backing up that performance with 27.74 to claim the final.

Congratulations to both athletes, a fantastic achievement!
