Little Athletics helps improve fitness and develop fundamental skills in running, throwing and jumping through weekly competitive events.

With an emphasis on family values, community involvement and personal improvement, our program is designed to promote positive attitudes in all aspects of life.

Family, Fun & Fitness
For all ages and abilities
Focusing on fun, participation and performance, our weekly age-specific events cater for all developmental stages and abilities of children.
3–4 year-olds
Our Tiny Tots program teaches foundational skills and improving physical, social and emotional development using a play-based approach.
5–12 year-olds
Promoting a lifelong love of fitness, focusing on learning technique, social participation and achieving their own personal best.
13–17 year-olds
Improving athletic ability and social skills, and opening up pathways for those who wish to pursue the sport more competitively.

With approximately 500 locations across Australia, in every state and territory, there’s a Little Athletics centre near you!

Little Athletics is primarily a Summer activity – generally running from September through to April – but you can join at any time! Most centres hold at least one competition meet every week, and some also hold weekly training sessions to further improve skills. Zone, Regional, State and National competitions are also held.

A Winter cross country season is offered in most states and territories.
Season start and end dates may vary by state/territory and centre.
