39 Records broken at the 2025 Coles Australian Little Athletics Championships

After a weekend of Australia’s best young athletes competing for team and individual glory, Sunday saw the conclusion of the 2025 Coles Australian Little Athletics Championships.

Athletes from across Australia between the ages of U13 to U15 years competed at the annual competition that ran from Saturday 26 until Sunday 27 April at SA Athletics Stadium in Adelaide.

The 2025 Coles Australian Little Athletics Championships consists of the U13, U14 and U15 Track & Field Championship including Multi-Class athletes and an U15 Combined Events Championship.

Across the weekend, there were 39 significant Records broken by athletes, 3 Pending Australian Best Performances commonly known as National Record/ABPs and 37 Meet Records. Records are as follows:

Pending Australian Best Performances (i.e. Little Athletics National Record) – Pending ABP:

  • U 15 Boys 800m, Tate Van Camp (QLD) in time of 1:54.76
  • U15 Boys 4 x 100m Relay, Team Little Athletics Victoria in time of 43.90
  • U14 Girls 4 x 100m Relay, Team Little Athletics Queensland in time of 48.28

The ALAC Team Trophies are the fundamental awards handed at the Coles Australian Little Athletics Championships, with the emphasis on ultimate Team success. Team Little Athletics Queensland emerged victorious winning four of the five Trophies, only narrowly missing out the fifth Trophy awarded to Team Little Athletics New South Wales.

The trophy winner of the Life Members’s Teams Trophy – U15 Combined Event highest overall points scoreis Little Athletics Queensland.

The trophy winner of the Maxine Boyd Trophy – U15 Track & Field and U15 Multi-Class Athletes highest overall points adjusted score is Little Athletics Queensland.

The trophy winner of the Dick Healey – U14 and U14 Multi-Class Athletes highest overall points adjusted score is Little Athletics Queensland.

The trophy winner of the Alan Triscott – U13 and U13 Multi-Class Athletes overall points adjusted score is Little Athletics Queensland.

The trophy winner of the Trevor Billingham Trophy – U13 and Multi-Class Athletes highest overall points score is Little Athletics New South Wales.
