Little Athletics Australia Hall of Fame Inductees Lead Australia's Track & Field Medal Tally

Over the past 5 days of the Olympic Athletics action in Paris. Australia has taken home 3 medals. All three medals were won by former Little Athletes, two of whom sit in the Little Athletics Australia Hall of Fame.

It started on Thursday 1st of August on day 1 of competition. Where former little athlete and Little Athletics Australia Hall of Fame Inductee Jemima Montag (Caulfield Little Athletics VIC) came out striding. To finish 3rd in the Women's 20km Race Walk, setting a new Area Record and taking home Australia's first Track & Field medal.

On day 5 the 5th of August, it was in the Women's High Jump final were two former regional little athletes made history, being the first Australian duo to win Olympic medals in the same Athletics event since 1968.

Nicola Olyslagers (Gosford Little Athletics NSW) and Little Athletics Australia Hall of Famer finished second jumping 2.00m to take home the silver, and Eleanor Patterson (Leongatha Little Athletics VIC) finishing in equal 3rd place, with a season best jump of 1.95m.
