Little Athletics Tiny Tots is a modified introductory sports program for children aged 3–4 years. Designed to encourage the development of the Fundamental Movement Skills of running, walking, jumping and throwing that underpin the growth of specialised sporting skills in athletics and other sports.
The aim of the Little Athletics Tiny Tots Program is to improve the physical, social, emotional and cognitive development of children through a play-based approach that is engaging and stimulating to the child.
Through these positive first experiences in an athletics environment and fundamental skill development, children are more likely to develop a healthy passion for athletics and lifelong enjoyment of participating in sport and physical activity.
This resource contains 10 weeks of session plans, each session includes 4 activities per session, lasting approximately 45–60 minutes. The range of activities which are designed to develop the three Fundamental Movement Skills (FMS):
Parents are encouraged to get involved with the Little Athletics Tiny Tots program by assisting with activities or by being an enthusiastic and supportive spectator.

Each Activity Card features a bold, high-quality graphic that illustrates the activity setup, helping Little Athletics Tiny Tots Coordinators to quickly understand the layout and flow.
