Coles Little Athletics Tiny Tots is a modified introductory sports program for children aged 3–4 years. Designed to encourage the development of the Fundamental Movement Skills of running, walking, jumping and throwing that underpin the growth of specialised sporting skills in athletics and other sports.

The aim of the Little Athletics Tiny Tots Program is to improve the physical, social, emotional and cognitive development of children through a play-based approach that is engaging and stimulating to the child.

The Coles Little Athletics Tiny Tots Program is now offered in all States/Territory Affiliated Member Associations excluding Victoria. To find out if your local Centre offers Tiny Tots Program, please contact your State/Territory Affiliated Member Association.

Athlete Development

Little Athletics provides a great environment for athletic development, a foundation for all sports. While the emphasis in the younger age groups should be on fun and participation, as the athletes get older, there are opportunities for development, competition, and participation, depending on the Little Athlete’s interests. It is important that the level of activity, training, and competition is proportionate to the athlete’s chronological age and development stage.

Further information about training sessions, skills clinics and Development Squads contact your Member Association.
