LAA Ambassador - Taneille Crase Bio

Taneille Crase is the reigning three time Australian Heptathlon champion, Oceania Champion and meet record holder, and Commonwealth Games representative. In 2022, she secured 5th place in the Heptathlon at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham with an overall personal best of 6026 points, achieving 5 personals best out of her 7 events. Taneille’s performances at the Commonwealth Games has ranked her 7th on the Australian All Time ranking list.

Taneille started Little Athletics at the age of 8 years old in Jimboomba, Queensland and was encouraged to participate in every event. Over the following, she noticed an improvement in her athletic skills and successfully competed in many carnivals, quoting “found the sport that I truly love and thoroughly enjoyed”. She has also been involved in Little Athletics for over 10 years as a coach, team manager, Development Officer and most recently employed by Little Athletics Australia.

“I have so many precious memories of Little Athletics. I loved attending my weekly Centre competitions and hanging out with my friends as well as participating in athletics events. My favourite memory is being a part of the Queensland ALAC team as an U13 athlete and making lifelong friends”. Starting at Little Athletics was her begging of her athletic journey to now one of Australia’s best Heptathlete’s of all time.
